Today is a gift. Embrace it with joy and anticipation…realize the possibilities.
It beckons you towards your destination in life. Be at peace - you are exactly where you are meant to be
at this moment. God has carefully chosen the people,
events, joys and challenges on your path today. The things you will
encounter are stepping stones of what is to come. Make the most of
today. Focus on
"the present" – you will see and appreciate things you
might otherwise miss. Follow your heart - search to find your purpose
in life, and you will find meaning and happiness. Use your talents, do
your best, contribute. Make a difference, because you can. Be passionate
about your journey - sing, dance, laugh, and love as you go. Give
praise and allow time for prayer. The promise of tomorrow begins with
the endeavors of today. Do not let the
fast-forward pace of the world deprive you from savoring "the now". Seek things that fill you with love and bring
you joy. Have faith, it fosters hope - it makes the difference. Believe, with God all things are possible.

Artist Statement
I was once told that life is basically a series of choices, and
that the quality of it will depend on those choices. This concept has
stayed on my mind ever since, and ultimately led me to the creation of
"Living Today". While traveling down a country road, enroute to capture
pictures for a commissioned painting, I passed by a gravel road that
looked very similar to the one in this painting. Two miles later, I put
the brakes on and headed back for another look. This image has been
tucked away in my mind for at least six years, and so painting it many
years later was an exhilarating experience. The road really represents
‘Today’. Everyday we have ‘Today’ - a chance to make new choices and
decisions that will impact us forever. The crossroad represents these
choices. The mailbox is a personalization point of this painting, and
symbolizes the people who will be on your path. The crown-jeweled tree
off to the left is each one of us, and that in God’s eyes, we are the
jewel to Him – created with purpose and meaning. The soft rays of light
coming from the sky are His ever-present subtleness in our lives, each
and every day. This painting is a blueprint for me, and I hope it will
be for you, also, to help make the most of today and everyday. ~ Bonnie L
